    Educarse representa un reto, pero también hacerlo y vivir en el siglo XXI, la evolución tecnológica y su vinculación en todos los aspectos de la vida del ser humano y de manera especial en la construcción del conocimiento demanda alfabetizarse digitalmente. En la actualidad la educación debe ser un espacio de construcción de saberes no tradicionales, debe comprender y apropiarse de las estrategias y herramientas de enseñanza-aprendizaje idóneas que faciliten y potencien el desarrollo de aprendizajes auténticos. La preparación de los docentes del siglo XXI debe comprender el manejo y empleo correcto de las diferentes herramientas TICS para su uso en las aulas de clase y en su trabajo diario. También es necesario visibilizar la existencia de una brecha digital definiéndose ésta como la dificultad de acceso a tecnologías e infraestructura digital dificultando el desarrollo de aprendizajes (Maya Álvarez, 2008).

    Educating oneself is a challenge, but so is living in the 21st century. Technological evolution and its links to all aspects of human life, and especially to the construction of knowledge, demands digital literacy. Today, education must be a space for the construction of non-traditional knowledge, it must understand and appropriate the strategies and tools for teaching and learning that are suitable for facilitating and promoting the development of authentic learning. The preparation of teachers for the 21st century must include the correct handling and use of the different ICT tools for their use in the classroom and in their daily work. It is also necessary to make visible the existence of a digital gap, which is defined as the difficulty of access to technologies and digital infrastructure that hinder the development of learning (Maya Álvarez, 2008).
