Resumen de EUREF-IP: transmisión de datos GNSS bajo Internet

A. Dalda, G. Weber, R. Quiros, J. Celada, Francisco Javier González Matesanz

  • The increasing data capacity of sending data through Internet together with the mobile Internet connections as WI-FI (Wireless Fidelity), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) and all emerging technologies make possible to send DGPS or RTK corrections, EGNOS data, raw data or whatever the user needs and receive it in a very small and powerful devices as PDAs or Tablet PCs. From the broadcaster point of view this technology avoids lots of drawbacks with techniques such DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) or RDS (Radio Data System) and improves the reception conditions due to the spectacular increasing of possibilities in Internet mobile reception. EUREF-IP was developed based on the ¿Stream Radio¿ model and this paper shows the results using Madrid station receiving RTK/DGPS data with a GPRS connection and the new IGNE Caster for the EUREF-IP project.
