    Servendosi della recente pubblicazione delle postille autografe ritrovate in un esemplare della princeps delle Prose (ed. Fabio Massimo Bertolo, Marco Cursi, Carlo Pulsoni, Roma, Viella, 2018), il saggio analizza le integrazioni che Bembo appose nei margini della stampa del 1525 in vista delle successive edizioni del 1538 e 1549. Le aggiunte riguardano in particolare il terzo libro del dialogo e mostrano un incremento significativo delle esemplificazioni tratte dal Decameron, ma anche – meno prevedibilmente – un rinnovato interesse negli anni della maturità nei confronti del Teseida e del Filocolo. Seguendo soprattutto le note relative a queste ultime opere, si cerca di indagare anche le ragioni del mancato inserimento a testo di alcune postille nell’edizione definitiva.

    By relying on the recent publication of the autograph marginal notes found in a copy of the princeps of the Prose (ed. by Fabio Massimo Bertolo, Marco Cursi, Carlo Pulsoni, Rome, Viella, 2018), this essay analyses the additions that Bembo penned in the margins of the 1525 print edition, in view of the following editions of 1538 and 1549. These additions involve especially the third book of the dialogue and show a substantial increase in the examples taken from the Decameron, but also – less predictably – a renewed interest in the Teseida and the Filocolo in the years of Bembo’s maturity. Focusing mainly on the marginal notes pertaining to these two works, this article also attempts to investigate the reasons why some notes were not integrated in the final edition of text.
