  Los cambios recurrentes que se generan en la actualidad nos indican que estamos en pleno siglo XXI, es decir frente a una sociedad globalizada que exige a un individuo ético, crítico y consciente frente a los diferentes problemas que aquejan a su comunidad o país de residencia. Por esta razón, hablar de vinculación de los valores éticos con la Responsabilidad Social Universitaria se hace necesario, ya que actualmente la gran mayoría de las instituciones del nivel superior de Latinoamérica deben formar no solo a un individuo capacitado para realizar una actividad en una determinada disciplina del saber, sino también a un profesional responsable con su institución de procedencia, así como con los elementos medio ambientales, ecológicos, morales y sociales. El presente trabajo investigativo precisa las diferentes definiciones de Responsabilidad Social Universitaria (RSU) teniendo en cuenta características como: 1.- El impacto de esta en la Sociedad Globalizada, 2.- El surgimiento del concepto de RSU, atendiendo a las leyes que le dieron origen, 3.- Las diferencias entre Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE) y Responsabilidad Social Universitaria (RSU), 4.- Los valores éticos y su implicación con la Responsabilidad Social Universitaria.

  The recurrent changes that we are experiencing nowadays indicates that we are immerse in the XXI century, which means that we are facing a globalized society that requires an ethical, critical and aware individual capable to face the different problems that afflict their communities or country of residence. That is why talking about linking ethical values with university responsibility is necessary, considering that the vast Latin America must educate, not only and individual trained to carry out and activity in a certain discipline of knowledge, but also that he is responsible professional with the institution that formed him, as well as with the environmental, ecological, moral and social elements. This paper aims to describe the different definitions of University Social Responsibility (RSU) talking into account characteristics such as: 1.- Impact of this in the Globalized Society 2.- Emergence of the RSU concept, based on the laws that gave rise to it, 3.- Differences between Corporate Social Responsibility (RSE) and University Social Responsibility, 4.- Ethical values and their involvement with University Social Responsibility.
