  • Smail Kechidi describes his research into coldformed steel (CFS)-framed shear walls sheathed in timber, which won the Institution’s Research into Practice essay competition in 2021. The research has focused on the lateral behaviour of CFSframed shear walls and the performance of the sheathing-to-CFS screws.
