Resumen de 'Tú' genérico en el español de la Ciudad de México

El presente estudio tiene la finalidad de describir el empleo de tú genérico en datos del español de la ciudad de México. Se realiza un estudio sociolingüístico de la distribución de este sujeto pronominal. Para ello se analizan muestras de habla provenientes de dos momentos, el primero cerca de 1970 y el segundo alrededor del año 2000. Los resultados sugieren, por una parte, que tú genérico se usa de manera cada vez más frecuente en el español de México y que son más los hablantes que recurren a su empleo. Por otra parte, los contextos de uso de tú genérico también se han extendido, pues si bien, coocurre principalmente con verbos en presente, se documenta igualmente, aunque en menor medida, en otros contextos incluso con verbos en aspecto perfectivo

The purpose of this paper is to describe the use of generic you in the Spanish of Mexico City. A sociolinguistic study of the distribution of this pronominal subject is carried out. For this purpose, speech samples from two moments are analyzed, the first around1970 and the second circa2000. The results suggest that, on the one hand,generic you isused more and more frequently in Mexican Spanish and that thereare more speakers who resort to their employment. On the other hand, the contexts of use of generic youhave also been extended, because, although it occurs mainly with verbs in the present, it is also documented, to a lesser extent, in other contexts even with verbs inperfective aspect
