Resumen de Convergencia de tecnologías NANO, BIO, INFO y COGNO: ¿a dónde nos trajo el futuro?

  Objeto: Analizar la actividad científica que gira en torno a la convergencia tecnológica nano, bio, info y cogno de los últimos 20 años (2001-2021). Referente teórico: A inicios del milenio se llevó a cabo el Workshop denominado “Converging Technologies for Improving Human Performance”que marcaría el punto base para hablar de las convergencias de tecnologías en pro del mejoramiento del desempeño y bienestar del ser humano. Aspectos metodológicos: Es un estudio bibliométrico-descriptivo, desarrollado a través de la revisión de los artículos publicados en Scopus entre los periodos del 2001 hasta el 2021. Para la visualización de información y análisis bibliométrico, se utilizó el software VoSViewer que es una herramienta para representar las fuerzas de coautoría, coocurrencia, citación o enlaces de co-citación. Resultados y discusiones: Fue posible establecer las redes bibliométricas de los 938 documentos hallados en Scopus, pero solo 259 cumplieron este requisito, y evidencian cuáles fueron diadas de interés más representativas para los académicos, los países con mayor trayectoria de investigación en el área y las redes de trabajo, así como, los autores y estudios más relevantes en este campo. Conclusiones: Existe una interdisciplinaridad inmersa en investigaciones aplicadas en la actualidad; abriendo camino para que diferentes campos de la ciencia convergieran o divergieran, en conjunto con el desarrollo de las tecnologías, para mejorar el rendimiento humano, los modelos de negocio disruptivos, aplicaciones tecnológicas para la solución de problemas complejos en la realidad social, económica, ambiental, incluso en la esfera política, espacial y militar.

  Objective: to analyze the scientific activity that revolves around the technological convergence of nano, bio, info and cogno of the last 20 years (2001-2021). Theoretical reference: At the beginning of the millennium, the Workshop “Converging Technologies for Improving Human Performance” was held, which would mark the base point to talk about the convergence of technologies for the improvement of human performance and welfare. Methodological aspects: it is a bibliometric-descriptive study, developed through the review of articles published in Scopus from 2001 to 2021. For the visualization of information and bibliometric analysis, the VoSViewer software was used, which is a tool to represent the forces of co-authorship, co-occurrence, citation or co-citation links. Results and discussions: it was possible to establish the bibliometric networks of the 938 documents found in Scopus, but only 259 met this requirement, and show which were the most representative dyads of interest for academics, the countries with the longest research trajectory in the area and the work networks, as well as the most relevant authors and studies in this field. Conclusions: there is an interdisciplinarity immersed in applied research at present; opening the way for different fields of science to converge or diverge, together with the development of technologies, to improve human performance, disruptive business models, technological applications for the solution of complex problems in the social, economic, environmental reality, even in the political, spatial and military sphere.
