    Durante el proceso de transición hacia la democracia en España, los últimos representantes del republicanismo español (reunidos en las instituciones del exilio y en el partido político Acción Republicana Democrática Española) plantearon sus propios espacios de memoria y sus propios símbolos sobre la Segunda República, separando esta del trauma de la Guerra Civil. Partiendo de la historiografía sobre la memoria colectiva y sobre la transición, en este artículo se desarrollará un análisis sobre el discurso de este republicanismo durante el final del franquismo y el inicio de la reforma política en España.

    During the Spanish transition to democracy, the last Spanish representatives of Spanish Republicanism (united in the Government of the Spanish Republic in exile and the political party Acción Republicana Democrática Española) sought to create their own memory spaces and symbols with regard to the Second Republic, separating this process to the memory of a collective trauma such as the Civil War. With reference to historiography on collective memory and the Transition, this paper seeks to develop an analysis of the discourse of Republicanism in the final years of Francoism and at the beginning of political reform in Spain.
