    Este artigo discute a autonomização do campo artístico cearense, a partir de mudanças no lugar social da arte e do artista modernos. A Ceará IlIustrado, periódico exemplar do jornalismo cultural dos anos 1920, revela esse fenômeno em sua gênese. Assiste-se, a partir de então, a uma crescente densificação semântica da arte (concebida como forma) e social do artista (concebido como criador incriado). Tal densificação conduziu à singularização da experiência estética do público cultivado de pintura. A emergência do habitus silencioso desse público diante de obras foi tomada como índice de tal processo de singularização.

    This article discusses the autonomy of the cearense artistic field, starting with the changes in the social position of modern art and artists. The Ceará Illustrado, a periodical publication of culture for 20 years, reveals this phenomenon in its genesis. Observe, from that, a growing of semantic density of art (conceived like form) and social density of the artist (conceived like an uncreated creator). Such density conducted a singularity of aesthetics experience of cultivated public of painting. The emergency of the silent habitus of this public in front of the task was then taken like an index of this singularite process.
