Desde su constitución como un ser bio-psico-social hasta su afectación ante una enfermedad o en el contexto de una pandemia, como la que hemos vivido desde hace más de un año por el virus SARS-CoV-2, es necesario no perder de vista que nuestras acciones deben proteger y resguardar su esencia y las dimensiones que emanan de la Dignidad Humana.
En este número se aboardan desde diferentes ángulos las aproximaciones que se tiene en el ámbito de la salud hacia la dignidad de las personas enfermas y cómo los comités de bioética juegan un papel fundamental en los mismos.

From its constitution as a bio-psychosocial being to its involvement in the face of a disease or in the context of a pandemic, such as the one we have experienced for more than a year due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, it is necessary not to lose sight of the fact that our actions must protect and safeguard its essence and the dimensions that emanate from Human Dignity.
In this issue, the approaches taken in the field of health towards the dignity of sick people and how bioethics committees play a fundamental role in them are approached from different angles.
