Se presenta un estudio de las constituciones o reglas de la Hermandad de la Santa Caridad de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo y San Antonio Abad de Algeciras, copias manuscritas de las primitivas constituciones que se encontraban en el Archivo del Hospital de la Caridad. Esta hermandad fue la fundadora del Hospital de la Santa Caridad de Algeciras y de su capilla dedicada a San Antón. Dichas constituciones regían la vida interna y externa de la hermandad, el buen funcionamiento espiritual y material de la misma y marcaba las obligaciones de sus miembros. En sus reglas también se implicaron más allá de la muerte, preparando todo el ceremonial fúnebre de sus miembros

This is a study of the Constitutions or Rules of the Brotherhood of the Holy Charity of Our Lord Jesus Christ and Saint Anthony the Abbot in Algeciras, which are manuscript copies of the original Constitutions that were in the Archive of the Hospital de la Caridad. This Brotherhood founded the Hospital de la Santa Caridad and the chapel in honour of San Antón. These constitutions governed the internal and external life of the Brotherhood and its correct spiritual and material functioning, as well defining the obligations of its members. The rules also governed circumstances beyond death, by establishing all the funeral rites for the members.
