Los valores del deporte son una constante en la justificación política y social de la existencia del deporte mismo. En este trabajo analizamos al deporte a partir de su aparición como hecho cultural progresista y progresivo; hecho este que, de facto, se inicia con las teorías regeneracionistas y liberal-progresistas de finales del siglo XIX, que encuentran un notable refuerzo cuando el ejército hace suyas estas teorías, y apoya la expansión de la educación física y del deporte como un medio de regeneración social y de mejora racial. En la valoración axiológica del fenómeno, es preciso reconocer un ampuloso discurso político y social sobre el valor objetivo del deporte y un interesado valor subjetivo que es el que, de facto, aplican los gobernantes. The sport’s valors have had being a constant in the social and political justification in its existence. We analyze the sports, in this paper; form the beginnings like a progresses and liberal fact, from the liberal and regenerations ideas, point of view, at the end of the XIX century, and its reinforcement when the armies have had founded, in the physical education and the sport, a powerful instrument for the social regeneration and the racial quality. In the axiological valuation of the phenomenon, it’s necessary to recognize an objective but ampoule’ social and political speech, but mainly an interested subjective valor’s aplicated by all the Spanish governs in this historical period in its policies.
