Durante todo el siglo pasado, los artistas han encontrado un grave problema de comunicación con el público al que se dirigían. Numerosas reflexiones compositivas se han hecho para intentar devolver esa comunión que hubo con la audiencia hasta el surgimiento de las vanguardias. A través de un breve análisis de las propuestas musicales de las primeras décadas del siglo XX y de su contexto creativo, se intentará arrojar luz sobre los motivos culturales y estético-filosóficos que propiciaron esa ruptura entre los músicos que buscaban la Verdad a través de una regeneración de los conceptos sonoros y de su percepción y la sociedad a la que se les ofrecía. Se centrará el estudio en el caso de la Segunda Escuela de Viena y de las teorías estéticas que promulgó el filósofo alemán Theodor W. Adorno. Este grupo fue uno de los que hicieron una oposición más frontal y más deliberada a los cánones de percepción heredados de la era romántica.

Throughout the last century, artists have encountered a serious problem of communication with the target audience. Composers have developed many musical strategies to try to restore that communion that existed with the audience until the emergence of the avantgardes. Through a brief analysis of the musical proposals of the first decades of the twentieth century and their creative context, I will try to shed light on the cultural, aesthetic and philosophical reasons that fostered this rupture between the musicians who sought the Truth through a regeneration of the sound concepts and their perception and the society to which they were offered. The study will be focused on the case of the Second Vienna School and the aesthetic theories promulgated by the German philosopher Theodor W. Adorno. This group was one of those who faced straightly the canons of perception inherited from the Romantic era.
