Juan Andralis es un referente imprescindible de la cultura visual argentina y latinoamericana. Su figura logró congeniar el surrealismo con el diseño y la tipografía artesanal. En París se vinculó con el grupo liderado por André Breton y trabajó en el estudio de Cassandre. Tras su regreso a Buenos Aires participó en el Departamento de Diseño del Instituto Di Tella, y a partir de 1968 inauguró su propia imprenta: El Archibrazo. El don de la ubicuidad lo puso donde había que estar, con un pie en la realidad y otro en el terreno de los sueños.

Juan Andralis is an essential exponent of Argentine and Latin American visual culture. His figure combined surrealism with design and handmade typography. In Paris he joined the group led by André Breton and worked in Cassandre’s studio. After his return to Buenos Aires he participated in the Design Department of the Instituto Di Tella, and from 1968 he opened his own printing press: El Archibrazo. The gift of ubiquity put him where he needed to be, with one foot in reality and the other on dream ground.
