La Codorniz es el referente español de la sátira gráfica durante el largo mandato de Franco en España. Su humor era más equidistante que inteligente y solo mostró cierto atrevimiento hacia el final de su andadura. En este documento se analiza la sátira emitida desde esa revista hacia instituciones como el Ejército, la Iglesia y la Corona durante el franquismo crepuscular, quedando claro que se mantuvo tibio y poco atrevido incluso tras la muerte de Franco.

La Codorniz is the Spanish benchmark for graphic satire during Franco's long term in Spain. Its humor was more equidistant than intelligent and showed a certain daring only in its final stage. This document analyzes the satire issued by the magazine towards institutions such as the Army, the Church and the Crown during the twilight franquismo, showing that it remained lukewarm and not very daring even after Franco's death.
