    Las obras que le dieron fama a Dante están escritas en lengua vernácula y pese a ello hubo quienes lo incluyeron como integrante, o bien predecesor, del humanismo florentino. Se analiza esta cuestión y el hecho de que sus textos, en particular el Convivio y la Commedia, a diferencia de casi el resto de los escritos humanistas, exhiben un manejo erudito del estado del arte en cuanto al conocimiento de los escritos sobre óptica que circulaban a principios del siglo XV en Italia.

    The works that made Dante famous are written in the vernacular lenguage, but even so there were distinguished scholars who included him as a member, or even a predecessor, of Florentine humanism. This question is analyzed and also the fact that his texts, in particular the Convivio and the Commedia, unlike almost the rest of the humanist writings, exhibit an erudite handling of the state of the art concerning his knowledge of the literature on optics circulating at the beginning of the 15th century in Italy.
