This paper considers some central aspects of the characterization of ἀνάμνησις in the Phaedo 72e -77a. It analyses the intrinsically evocative nature of ἀνάμνησις and the λήθη factors affecting this evocation. The Phaedo shows 1) that ἀνάμνησις makes it possible for us to have an access to determinations which go beyond our many and various αἰσθήσεις, viz. to the αὐτά, 2) that our whole ex-perience isrooted in these very determinations and 3) that experience tends to be confused with the αὐτά. The result of all this is a link with the αὐτά and, at the same time, a complexλήθη phenomenon concealing them (and, thus, concealing the true meaning of ἀνάμνησις)

Este estudo considera alguns aspectos centrais da caracteriza-ção da ἀνάμνησις no Phaedo 72e -77a. Analisa -se a natureza intrinsecamente evocativa da ἀνάμνησις e os factores de λήθη que afectam essa evocação. O Phaedo mostra 1) que a ἀνάμνησις possibilita um acesso a determina-ções que excedem a multiplicidade das αἰσθήσεις: um acesso aos αὐτά, 2) que toda a nossa experiência radica nessas determinações e 3) que a experiência tende a confundir‑se com os próprios αὐτά. De tudo isto resulta uma ligaçãocom os αὐτά e, simultaneamente, um complexo fenómeno de λήθη que oses‑conde (e, com isso, esconde também o efectivo sentido da ἀνάμνησις)

Dieser Auf-satz betrachtet einige zentrale Aspekte der Charakterisierung der ἀνάμνησις im Phaedo 72e -77a. Er analysiert die innerlich hervorrufende Natur der ἀνάμνησις und die diese Hervorrufung beeinträchtigenden Faktoren von λήθη. Der Phaedo zeigt, 1. dass die ἀνάμνησις einen Zugang zu Bestimmungen er-möglicht, die die Mannigfaltigkeit der αἰσθήσεις übersteigen, d. h. einen Zu-gang zu den αὐτά, 2. dass unsere gesamte Erfahrung in diesen Bestimmungen verwurzelt ist, und 3. dass die Erfahrung dazu neigt, sich mit den αὐτά selber zu verwechseln. Aus alledem ergibt sich eine Verbindung mit den αὐτά undgleichzeitig ein komplexes Phänomen von λήθη, das sie (und damit auch den wirklichen Sinn der ἀνάμνησις) verdeckt
