  • Resumen
    • Lucian’s Icaromenippus is a satirical dialogue that has been regarded as a philosophical criticism of human folly. Nevertheless, though the topic appears thematized, it is possible to see the way in which the ekphrasis acts, which implies an approach to rhetorical framework. This paper aims to show that the descriptive resource, influenced by Homeric poetry, contains crossings between the language rhetorical and the musical. The auditory dimension introduces a network of meaning that offers the possibility of tracing connections with a conception about the receivers. Thus, the satirical dialogue with a philosophical theme becomes a text that includes lines about literary creation.
