Resumen de El viaje y su relato

El artículo indaga sobre la especificidad del relato de viaje, tradicionalmente considerado como un género amorfo, referencial, transparente y fáctico. Teniendo en cuenta los últimos aportes en esta materia, y no perdiendo de vista que los géneros están condicionados por pactos de comunicación y convenciones de lectura, el trabajo establece algunas constantes estructurales, su complexión tropológica, configuración topológica, la competencia y roles del narrador, las fronteras genéricas con la autobiografía y la novela, su carácter anfibio entre lo fáctico y lo ficcional.

The article focuses on travel writing features, discussing common places about being an amorphous, referential, transparent and fact narrative. Considering latest contributions to this matter as well as the fact that genres are conditioned by communicational pacts and reading conventions, the work is oriented toward the delimitation of structural continuities, tropic complexion, topological configuration, narrator competence and roles, generic frontiers with the autobiography and the novel, and, finally, the amphibious status between fact and fiction.
