Resumen de O campo epistemológico da pulsão de morte: um debate entre psicanálise, ciência e filosofia da mente

  In this paper, we investigate the theme of drive specificity in Freud’s work, traversing through references that act in the configuration of this concept, to arrive at the moment of proposing the idea that the drive theory establishes, between speculation and science, a new epistemological field. This conclusion is constructed based on the characteristics of Empedocles' cosmological dualism, which Freud imports for treating the drives of life and death as forces that are not necessarily antagonistic, but that act together. The conclusion is also based on the scientific paradigm in force in the 19thcentury, to which Freud partially adheres, conceiving the relationship between the drives in terms of thermodynamic laws of conservation and entropy. This allows us to address the issue of the advent of the death drive in Freudian theory, and to analyze it in terms of the plausibility and verification criteria required by a certain scientific requirement. The proposal of the death drive is a milestone in drive theory, consolidating the dualistic structure of this theory, freeing the field of ethics from the pleasure principle, and promoting the opening of an epistemological zone for thinking about the relationships between body and soul, the physical and the psychical, the somatic and the mental, either in the face of nature and the vicissitudes of the drive, as Freud defined it, or as a result of the interpellations that come from the neurosciences.

  Neste artigo,investigamos o tema da especificidade da pulsão na obra freudiana, percorrendo referências que atuam na configuração desse conceito, para se chegar ao momento de propor a ideia de que a teoria pulsional instaura, entre a especulação e a ciência, um novo campo epistemológico. Essa conclusão é construída com base nas características dodualismo cosmológico de Empédocles, que Freud importa a fim de tratar as pulsões de vida e de morte como forças não necessariamente antagônicas, mas que agem em conjunto, e também com base no paradigma científico vigente no século XIX, ao qual Freud adere, parcialmente, concebendo a relação entre as pulsões a partir das leis termodinâmicas de conservação e entropia. Isso nos possibilita abordar a questão sobre o advento da pulsão de morte na teoria freudiana, e analisá-la em função dos critérios de plausibilidade e verificação requeridos por certa exigência de cientificidade. A proposição da pulsão de morte é um marco na teoria pulsional, consolida a estrutura dualista dessa teoria, liberta o campo da ética do princípio de prazer e promove a abertura de umazona epistemológica para se pensar as relações entre corpo e alma, o físico e o psíquico, o somático e o mental, seja em face da natureza e das vicissitudes da pulsão, como Freud a definiu, seja em decorrência das interpelações remetidas pelas neurociências.
