    Canalejas de Puerto Real es uno de los artistas más importantes del flamenco y vivió su etapa de mayores éxitos con los espectáculos de la Ópera Flamenca, una época que tuvo gran aceptación entre los públicos y convirtió al flamenco en el espectáculo más cotizado. Compartió escenario con los grandes de su tiempo y gozó del favor popular con algunas canciones por bulerías que lo llevaron a la cima. Después de mucho tiempo de giras triunfales llegó un momento en que cambiaron las modas y los gustos, de manera que tuvo que reinventarse y lo hizo trabajando en tablaos, así como participando en concursos y actuando en festivales, los nuevos formatos que el flamenco utilizó a partir de los años cincuenta del siglo pasado. Ganó premios importantes como muestra de su conocimiento y la calidad de su voz.

    Canalejas de Puerto Real is one of the most important flamenco artists who lived his most successful period with the shows of the Opera Flamenca, an era that had great acceptance among the public and turned flamenco into the most sought-after show. He shared the stage with the great figures of his time and enjoyed popular favor with some bulerías songs that took him to the top. After a long time of triumphant tours it came a time when fashions and tastes changed, so he had to reinvent himself and he did it working in tablaos, as well as participating in contests and performing in festivals, the new formats that flamenco used from the 1950s. He won important awards due to has expertise and the quality of his voice.
