Resumen de Arca trium clavium: Patrimonio, administración y economía en los conventos de monjas clarisas de Andalucía. El caso de Santa Isabel de Ronda

  Al presentar esta comunicación pretendemos aproximarnos a la economía del con-vento de clarisas de Santa Isabel de Ronda (Málaga) a través del estudio de la hacienda con-ventual a lo largo de su historia. Nos detenemos fundamentalmente en el patrimonio rústicode las clarisas rondeñas a mediados del siglo XVIII, cuando éste ya se había conformadototalmente, así como en los distintos procesos desamortizadores que sufrieron las monjas a lolargo de la primera mitad del XIX, sobre todo el definitivo de 1836, que enajenó en beneficiodel Estado todos los bienes muebles e inmuebles de la comunidad. Nos detenemos con detalletanto en la composición del patrimonio conventual como en su evolución, al tiempo que locomparamos y relacionamos con los demás conventos rondeños, masculinos y femeninos, ylas restantes comunidades de clarisas andaluzas.

  In submitting this paper we are seeking to approach an understanding of the eco-nomy of the convent of nuns of the Order of St Clare of Santa Isabel de Ronda (Málaga)by means of a study of the finances of the convent throughout its history. We lay particularemphasis on the rural possessions of the Clarissans of Ronda in the mid-18th century, whenthese were already entirely settled, as well as on the different processes of disentailment thatthe nuns endured throughout the first half of the 19th century, especially the definitive one of1836, which confiscated in the name of the State all the movable and immovable property ofthe community. We examine closely both the composition of the convent’s assets and theirevolution, whilst we compare and relate it to Ronda’s other convents, male and female, andthe other Clarissan communities of Andalusia.
