El autismo: una defensa extrema del psiquismo que obstaculiza la constitución de lo infantil

    El autor reflexiona sobre la imposibilidad del ingreso a “lo infantil” cuando hay una defensa autista. Entiende “lo infantil” como la temporalidad que se pone en juego en la subjetividad en sus diferentes características. La rigidez de la defensa autista es causada por un desencuentro originario entre el objeto auxiliar y el bebé. Se presentan dos viñetas clínicas con el fin de ilustrar estas ideas. Concluye que en esta época hay una gran dificultad para comprender psicoanalíticamente las defensas psíquicas primitivas, ya que ello va en contra de los planteos conductuales, en donde se borra la historia afectiva singular para dar lugar a una adaptación social. Hay exigencias provenientes de la bio-política como, por ejemplo, rendir al máximo en la productividad dejando de lado lo concerniente a los vínculos. Es de suma importancia que un analista pueda usar las herramientas de la teoría psicoanalítica para brindar las interpretaciones adecuadas de tal modo que incluso se vea beneficiada la subjetividad de los niños/as pequeños/as. De esta manera, transferencia mediante, podrán abandonar el narcisismo primario absoluto para comenzar a reconocer al otro y así habitar el tiempo y el espacio en forma tal de vivenciar su Si-mismo y el mundo que lo rodea.

    Autism as an extreme defense of the psyche that hinders the constitution of the infantile. The author reflects on the impossibility of approaching “the infantile” when there is an autistic defense. He understands “the infantile” as the temporality that is put into play in subjectivity with different characteristics. The rigidity of the autistic defense is caused by an original mismatch between the auxiliary object and the infant. Two clinical vignettes are presented in order to illustrate these ideas. The conclusion is that there is currently a great difficulty in understanding primitive psychic defenses psychoanalytically because it goes against behavioral approaches, where the unique affective history of each person is erased to make room for social adaptation. Demands coming from biopolitics (such as to perform to the maximum level of productivity) leave aside everything concerning human bonds. It is considered of utmost importance that the analyst uses the tools of psychoanalytic theory to provide interpretations in such a way that even young children’s subjectivity is benefited. They will then be able to abandon their absolute primary narcissism to begin to recognize the other through the transference, and thus inhabit time and space so as to experience their self and the world around them.
