    El perfil de los estudiantes universitarios escada vez más diverso y las instituciones formativasrequieren conocer cómo experimentan supaso por la educación superior. El objetivo deesta investigación es caracterizar el compromisoestudiantil de estudiantes de la Universidadde Playa Ancha. El compromiso estudiantil serefiere a un estado y disposición de los estudiantespara abordar sus estudios y lograraprendizajes y a aquello que las institucioneshacen para favorecerlo.Es un estudio descriptivo y correlacional a partirde la aplicación de la Encuesta Nacional deEvaluación del Compromiso Estudiantil (ENCE),a una muestra de estudiantes de las cohortes2016 y 2019. Los resultados mostraron correlacionesestadísticamente significativas, aunquedébiles, en los indicadores de compromisoestudiantil. Los estudiantes manifestaron unapercepción positiva de su experiencia universitaria,valoraron los apoyos institucionalesrecibidos y declararon una alta fidelidad con lainstitución y su carrera.

    The profile of university students is increasinglydiverse and educational institutions needto know how they experience their passagethrough higher education. The objective ofthis research is to characterize the studentengagement of students at the Universityof Playa Ancha. student engagement refersto the disposition of students to approachtheir studies and achieve learning, and to themeasures taken by the institutions to favor it.This is a descriptive and correlational studybased on the application of the National Surveyfor the Evaluation of Student Engagement(ENCE), to a sample of students from the2016 and 2019 cohorts. The results showedstatistically significant, albeit weak, correlationsin the indicators of student engagement.Students expressed a positive perceptionof their university experience, valued theinstitutional supports received, and reportedhigh loyalty to the institution and their career.
