    Con 4.741 votaciones de proyectos de ley en el Senado de Chile (1990-2018), eva-luamos si los determinantes de cohesión partidista identificados para la Cámara de Diputados también aplican al Senado. En el Senado, el oficialismo está más cohesionado que la oposición. No hay más co-hesión en proyectos más importantes, en proyectos del ejecutivo o en etapas más avanzadas. Hay menos cohesión en el último año, pero no mayor cohesión en el primer año de gobierno.

    With the 4741 roll call votes in the Chilean Senate, we evaluate whether the determi-nants of legislative cohesion identified for the Chamber of Deputies also apply to the Senate. In the Senate, the ruling coalition is more cohesive than the opposition. There is not any greater cohesion when it comes to bills that are more important, sponsored by the president or more advanced bills. There is less cohesion on bills in the last year, but no greater cohesion in the first year of a term.
