Mujeres y teatro independiente en argentina (2001-2020): El caso del Instituto Nacional del Teatro

    En este trabajo analizamos la participación de las mujeres en el teatro independiente argentino contemporáneo (2001-2020). Nos concentramos en la ocupación de roles de referencia: dirección, autoría (dramatúrgica y crítico/teórica) y representación institucional, tomando como caso testigo al Instituto Nacional del Teatro. La investigación se nutre de algunos postulados de la Sociología del Arte y de las teorías críticas feministas, especialmente de los estudios sobre participación po-lítico-institucional de las mujeres. La metodología es de carácter cuan-titativa y el corpus se constituye de datos primarios de acceso público y de información interna de la institución. Los resultados indican que las mujeres acceden en la actualidad a un nivel bajo de participación en todas las categorías analizadas, cercana al 30%. Este dato refuerza la necesidad de planificar políticas con perspectiva de género y abordar el debate de la paridad considerando todos los aspectos de participación de las mujeres en el teatro

    In this paper we analyze women’s participation in con-temporary Argentine independent theater (2001-2020). We focus on the occupation of reference roles: direction, authorship (dramaturgical and critical/theoretical) and institutional representation, taking as a test case the Instituto Nacional del Teatro. The research draws on some postula-tes from the Sociology of Art and from feminist critical theories, espe-cially from studies on the women’s political-institutional participation. The methodology is quantitative and the corpus consists of primary data from public access and internal information of the institution. The re-sults indicate that women currently have a low level of participation in all the categories analyzed, close to 30%. This data reinforces the need to plan policies with a gender perspective and address the parity debate considering all aspects of women's participation in theater.
