Comportamiento clínico y epidemiológico del VIH y SIDA en mujeres indígenas del Hospital Nuevo Amanecer de Bilwi

    A fin de contribuir al fortalecimiento de la atención multidisciplinaria y mejorar el abordaje del VIH y Sida, se realiza en el municipio de Puerto Cabezas un estudio con mujeres indígenas que asistieron al programa de VIH y Sida, en el Hospital Nuevo Amanecer durante el 2010 al primer semestre del 2014.A partir de los resultados, se logró identificar un total de 14 pacientes las cuales asisten de forma irregular al retiro de su tratamiento y revisiones mensuales. Por otro lado, se visibilizó la necesidad de incluir en el formato del expediente clínico las prácticas culturales y tradicionales de salud de los pacientes a como lo establece el MASIRAAN, a fin de favorecer una buena articulación con la medicina tradicional.Actualmente el VIH y Sida ha afectado a las diversas poblaciones existentes en la región; sin embargo, la desagregación por pueblo no es consistente ni sistemática; siendo esto una desventaja para la toma de decisiones oportunas dirigidas a las poblaciones afectadas. Se considera que ante esta situación es necesario impulsar esfuerzos para que la inclusión de estos elementos sea a lo inmediato, lo que contribuiría a   brindarles a las mujeres una atención integral y de calidad.

    In order to contribute to the strengthening of multidisciplinary care and improve the HIV and AIDS approach, this study was carried out in Puerto Cabezas municipality with indigenous women who attended the HIV and AIDS program at Nuevo Amanecer Hospital from 2010 to the first semester of 2014. From the results, it was possible to identify a total of 14 patients who attend irregularly to the withdrawal of their treatment and monthly reviews. On the other hand, it was made visible the need to include in the clinical file format the cultural and traditional health patients’ practices as established by MASIRAAN, in order to favor a good articulation with traditional and non-traditional medicine. Currently, HIV and AIDS have affected the diverse populations in the region; however, disaggregation by town is neither consistent nor systematic; this being a disadvantage for making timely decisions directed to the affected populations. It is necessary to promote efforts so that the inclusion of these elements can be immediate, which would contribute to provide women with comprehensive and quality care
