El objetivo de este artículo es demostrar la influencia de Ivan Leonidov en la obra de Rem Koolhaas. El descubrimiento de la obra del arquitecto constructivista ruso será el detonante para que el joven Koolhaas inicie sus estudios de arquitectura en la Architectural Association School of Architecture de Londres. Tras estudiar una serie de proyectos de Ivan Leonidov, empezando por el Instituto Lenin y terminando por las torres de Dom Narkomtiazhprom, Koolhaas se convertirá en el primer difusor de la arquitectura de Ivan Leonidov a nivel internacional a través de diversos artículos entre ellos en la famosa revista Oppositions.

The aim of this article is to demonstrate the influence of Ivan Leonidov on the work of Rem Koolhaas. The discovery of the work of the Russian constructivist architect will be the trigger for the young Koolhaas to start his architecture studies at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. After studying a series of projects by Ivan Leonidov, starting with the Lenin Institute and ending with the Dom Narkomtiazhprom towers, Koolhaas will become the first international diffuser of Ivan Leonidov’s architecture through various articles including in the famous Oppositions magazine.
