    El presente artículo analiza el rito de institución de catequista aprobado a finales del año pasado por la Congregación para el Culto Divino y la Disciplina de los Sacramentos. El rito, bastante somero a imagen de los otros dos ritos laicales –lector y acólito–, contiene elementos como la eucología y la selección de las lecturas del leccionario que merecen, sin duda alguna, el interés de los cultores de la liturgia.

    This article analyses the Rite of institution of the Catechist approved at the end of last year by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.

    The rite, which is rather brief in comparison with the other two lay rites –Lector and Acolyte–, contains elements, such as eucology and a selection of readings from the Lectionary, that undoubtedly merit the interest of liturgical scholars.
