En este documento me ocupo de la migración internacional y laetnografía de un espacio urbano. Con base en las relaciones observadasen una colonia popular, se advierten procesos socialespor los cuales pasaron sus habitantes, diferentes perfiles socialesque conforman y han definido su heterogeneidad; es posible darsecuenta del dinamismo económico y financiero que se presenta,de las transformaciones que están teniendo las estructuras dellugar; de las diferencias en las migraciones a EE. UU. y losprocesos sociales que han traído consigo; asimismo las problemáticasque persisten, pero también la recreación de imaginarioscomunes que identifican y colectivizan a los habitantes.

In this document, I approach international migration and theethnography of an urban space. Based on the relationshipsobserved in an urban poor and working class neighborhood, wenotice social processes that its inhabitants have undergone,different social profiles that make up and have defined itsheterogeneity; it is possible to observe the economic and financialdynamism present, as well as the transformations that arehappening in the location’s structures; the differences inmigrations to the USA and the social processes that they havebrought with them; and the problems that persist, but also therecreation of common imaginaries that identify and collectivizethe inhabitants.
