Resumen de Las intersecciones entre la pobreza laboral y los bajos salarios: claves para comprender una relación cada vez más divergente

La pobreza laboral y los bajos salarios evalúan realidades de naturaleza distinta que se insertan dentro del marco de la relación entre la actividad laboral y la pobreza. En el caso de los bajos salarios, el núcleo del análisis se sitúa en conocer si un individuo se encuentra por debajo de un determinado umbral de la distribución salarial. En contraste, la pobreza laboral traslada el foco a las situaciones de pobreza en el hogar, donde junto a nivel salarial de los trabajadores/as, inciden otra serie de factores. Anteriormente, cuando el modelo familiar de sustentador único resultaba hegemónico, existía una estrecha relación entre ambos fenómenos, pero a medida que se ha ido fracturando, el vínculo entre ambos fenómenos se ha vuelto más complejo. El presente trabajo busca profundizar en las intersecciones que se producen entre estos dos fenómenos, y de esta forma tratar de determinar los elementos que han incidido en la cada vez mayor disociación entre ambos.

In-work poverty and low-wages evaluate realities of a different nature within the framework of the relationship between employment and poverty. In the case of low-wages, the core of the analysis is whether an individual is below a certain threshold of the wage distribution. In contrast, in-work poverty focuses on the situations of poverty in the household, where in addition to the wage level of workers, other factors come into play. In the past, when the breadwinner model of family was hegemonic, there used to be a close relationship between both phenomena. However, parallel to the mounting diversity in household composition, the link between the two has become more complex. This paper seeks to delve deeper into the intersections between in-work poverty and low-wages to try to shed some light into the elements that have driven to the increasing dissociation between the two phenomena.

Lan-pobreziak eta soldata baxuak enpleguaren eta pobreziaren arteko harremanaren esparruan txertatzen diren izaera desberdineko errealitateak aztertzen dituzte. Soldata baxuen kasuan, analisiaren muina gizabanako bat soldata-banaketaren baitan atalase jakin baten azpitik dagoen jakitean datza. Aitzitik, lan-pobreziak etxebizitzaren baitako pobrezia-egoeretan jartzen du fokua, bertan, langileen soldata-mailarekin batera, beste faktore batzuek ere eragina dutelarik. Sostengatzaile bakarreko familia-eredua hegemonikoa zenean, bi fenomenoen arteko harremana estua zen, baina hura hausten joan ahala, elkarren arteko lotura konplexuagoa bihurtu da. Lan honek bi fenomeno horien arteko loturetan sakontzea du helburu, modu horretan, bien arteko disoziazio gero eta handiagoan eragiten duten elementuak zehazten saiatuz.
