Este artículo pretende estudiar, a la luz de las fuentes árabes medievales, las principales características de la organización político-administrativa de las provincias andalusíes en época omeya. Además, se plantea el papel político de las provincias y de sus altos funcionarios como los wula emirales y los ‘ummal califales.

In the light of the arabic medieval sources, this study deals with the problem of the principales characters of the politico-administrative organization of the andalusians provinces during the omeyyad period. The study tries to explain the political role of the province and their high political personal as the emiral wula and the caliphal ‘ummal.
