Democratizar el museo en Latinoamérica. ¿Qué ha sucedido en los museos latinoamericanos en las primeras dos décadas del siglo XXI?

    En este artículo se interrogan las implicaciones sobre la democratización del museo en el continente latinoamericano en las primeras dos décadas del s. XXI. Se revisan formulaciones ya instaladas en el campo disciplinar para marcar ciertos matices y suras que comienzan a ser perceptibles con mayor insistencia en la actualidad. El objetivo que guía este recorrido consiste, entonces, en analizar diferentes aspectos positivos y negativos de la puesta en ejecución de modalidades y modelos de trabajo de base comunitaria que implican una dinámica museística con y desde otros. Para ello, se propone articular un conjunto de producciones ancladas en la museología, las lecturas decoloniales y los estudios culturales con distintas manifestaciones contemporáneas que se presentan a lo largo del continente a n de acercarnos a la complejidad que amerita este tipo de revisionismos.

    This article questions the implications of the democratization of the museum in the Latin American continent in the first two decades of the 21st century. It reviews formulations already installed in the disciplinary field to mark certain nuances and fissures that are beginning to be perceptible with greater insistence at present. The objective guiding this journey consists, then, in analyzing different positive and negative aspects of the implementation of modalities and models of community-based work that imply a museum dynamic with and from others. To this end, it is proposed to articulate a set of productions anchored in museology, decolonial readings and cultural studies with different contemporary manifestations that are presented throughout the continent i n order to approach the complexity that this type of revisionism deserves.
