¿Un Sínodo para la sinodalidad?: Libertad, poder y verdad en la Iglesia

    El objetivo de este artículo es subrayar tres principios teológicos sobre los cua-les es necesario trabajar si queremos adentrarnos en un auténtico camino si-nodal: 1) libertad teológica, para el Pueblo de Dios, no solo para el teólogo de oficio; 2) redistribución del poder, fundamentado en la resurrección de Jesu-cristo, que revitaliza y posibilita relaciones nuevas dentro de la comunidad, y 3) escucha del Espíritu que pide el fatigoso discernimiento entre la memoria evangélica y la novedad escatológica de los signos de los tiempos. El solo sínodo de los obispos no es la sinodalidad; la sinodalidad es la dinámica procesual de ser Iglesia. Si el Espíritu de Dios pide a la Iglesia del tercer milenio vivir la sino-dalidad, significa que debemos comenzar a pensarla y a crearla; sin caer en la tentación de actuar como si ya supiéramos de antemano cómo y a dónde nos llevará el dynamis de Dios.

    The purpose of this article is to underline three theological principles on which it is necessary to work if we want to enter into an authentic synodal journey: 1) theological freedom, for the People of God, not only for the theologian by trade; 2) redistribution of power, based on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which revitalizes and makes possible new relationships within the community; and 3) listening to the Spirit who asks for the difficult discernment between the evangelical memory and the eschatological novelty of the signs of the times. The synod of bishops alone is not synodality; synodality is the processual dynamic of being Church. If the Spirit of God asks the Church of the third millennium to live synodality, it means that we must begin to think about it and create it; without falling into the temptation of acting as if we already knew beforehand how and where the dynamis of God will lead us.
