En este artículo se presenta un recorrido por la ciencia, la cultura y fundamentalmente lasSagradasEscrituras, centrado en descubrir el significado de la expresión agua vivautilizada por Jesús en el diálogo con la samaritana, contenido en el capítulo cuatro del Evangelio según San Juan, buscando interpretar dicho encuentro y en particular el sentido del aguacomo un elemento de gran importancia para diversas culturas y por supuesto en la Historia de Salvación.

This article showsthe path between the science, the culture, and fundamentally the holy scriptures, focused on discovering the meaning of the expression of the living water used by Jesus in his dialogue with the woman of Samaria, contained in the chapter four of the San Juan's gospel, pointing towards the interpretation of the said meeting, and particularly the symbolism of the water as an elementof great importance for various cultures and, of course, the salvation story.
