El artículo explora las relaciones que se establecen entre proyecto museístico, colección y espacio a partir de tres ejemplos de museo bajo la misma firma: The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Analizar y comparar sus tres proyectos de Nueva York, Venecia y Bilbao como espacios destinados a la exposición de arte moderno y contemporáneo puede ayudarnos a entender las relaciones que, a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XX y hasta la actualidad, se generan entre contenedor, contenido, espacio y colección, y su consideración de monumento contemporáneo.

This paper explores the relationships established between museum project, collection and space based on three examples of museums under the same copyright: The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Analysing and comparing its three projects in New York, Venice and Bilbao as spaces for the exhibition of modern and contemporary art would help us to understand the relationships generated between building, content, space and collection and its consideration as a contemporary monument, from the second half of the 20th century to the present.
