Resumen de Reflexiones en torno al fenómeno del neojaponismo

Este artículo tiene como objetivo abordar el fenómeno del neojaponismo, surgido a finales del siglo XX. Para llevar a cabo el análisis deben tenerse en cuenta las conexiones aparentes que suelen ser establecidas entre este fenómeno contemporáneo y el japonismo, surgido en el siglo XIX en Europa. Sin embargo, lejos de nutrir el discurso que suele establecer un trabase entre los imaginarios estéticos de ambos fenómenos, consideramos que el foco debe ponerse, precisamente, en las diferencias sustanciales que existen entre japonismo y neojaponismo. El objetivo es desligar al fenómeno neojaponista de las asociaciones reduccionistas que suelen establecen con el gusto decimonónico por “lo japonés”, incidiendo en su complejidad y sus peculiaridades. En este sentido, este artículo pretende evidenciar la complejidad que el uso del concepto “neojaponismo” trae consigo, pretendiendo servir de base para investigaciones futuras sobre este tema.

This article aims to present the phenomenon of Neo-Japonisme, which emerged at the end of the 20th century. In order to carry out the analysis, the apparent connections that are often established between this contemporary phenomenon and Japonisme, which emerged in the 19th century in Europe, must be taken into account. However, far from nurturing the discourse that tends to establish a link between the aesthetic imaginaries of the two phenomena, we consider that the focus should be placed precisely on the substantial differences that exist between Japonisme and Neo-Japonisme. The aim is to dissociate the neo-Japanese phenomenon from the reductionist associations that are usually made with the 19th-century’s taste for “Japaneseness”, emphasising its complexity and peculiarities. In this sense, this article aims to highlight the complexity that the use of the concept of ““Neo-Japonisme” brings with it, and to serve as a basis for future research on this topic.
