Los padres arquitectos jesuitas en la Casa Profesa de Valencia entre 1579 y 1756

    La Casa Profesa de la Compañía de Jesús de Valencia presenta un dilatado proceso constructivo, desde el siglo XVI hasta la actualidad. El objetivo de este trabajo es ahondar en las figuras de los padres arquitectos jesuitas que intervinieron en su construcción entre los años 1579 y 1756. Para ello, se ha investigado en el Archivum Romanum Societatis Iesu (Roma), en el Archivum Historicum Societatis Iesu Cataloniae (Barcelona) y en el Archivo del Reino de Valencia (Valencia). Los resultados de las investigaciones han permitido dar a conocer nuevos datos sobre varias intervenciones inéditas en la Casa Profesa, así como descubrir los nombres de padres arquitectos jesuitas que participaron en su construcción. Como conclusión, los trabajos en estos archivos aportan un mayor conocimiento sobre la Casa Profesa de Valencia a la par que permiten una visión global de las intervenciones de los padres arquitectos y sus obras que facilitan nuevos itinerarios para futuras investigaciones

    The Professed House of the Society of Jesus of Valencia presents a long construction process, from the 16th century to the present day. The objective of this work is to delve into the figures of the Jesuit architects friars who intervened in its construction between 1579 and 1756. For this, it has been investigated in the Archivum Romanum Societatis Iesu (Rome), in the Archivum Historicum Societatis Iesu Cataloniae (Barcelona) and in the Archivo del Reino de Valencia (Valencia). The results of the investigations have made it possible to reveal new data on several unpublished interventions in the Professed House as well as to discover the names of Jesuit architect fathers who participated in its construction. As a conclusion, the works in these archives provide a greater knowledge about the Professed House of Valencia at the same time that allow a global vision of the interventions of the religious architects and their works that facilitate new itineraries for future research..
