Fenomenología del Mundo Social

    En el ámbito de las ciencias sociales (y particularmente en el campo de la sociología) a partir de los años sesenta del siglo pasado ha surgido con fuerza una serie de teorías y prácticas de investigación ¿estas últimas, generalmente identificadas como cualitativas- que declaran inspirarse en la fenomenología (aunque sus antecedentes se pueden rastrear hasta comienzos del siglo XX). Ciertamente, usan esta denominación en un sentido bastante amplío. Frente a tal situación el fenomenólogo norteamericano Lester Embree sugiere que una quinta etapa de la fenomenología está emergiendo desde los márgenes no-filosóficos que cultivan ciertas disciplinas socio-culturales que han acogido y desarrollado la propuesta de una fenomenología mundana. Siguiendo el planteamiento de Embree el presente artículo centrará su atención en la quinta etapa. En primer lugar demostrará la existencia del fenómeno y en segundo lugar defenderá la promisoriedad epistemológica de una reconstrucción racional de la quinta etapa en términos de un programa de investigación científico post-positivista que proponemos denominar sociofenomenológico.

    In the scope of social sciences (and particularly in the field of sociology) from the Sixties of the last century a series of theories and practices of investigation has arisen with force -these last ones, identified generally like qualitative- that declare to be inspired by the phenomenology (although their antecedents can be raked until beginnings of century XX). Certainly, they use this denomination in a wide sense. As opposed to such situation, the North American phenomenologist Lester Embree suggests a fifth stage of the phenomenology is emerging from the not-philosophical margins that cultivate certain sociocultural disciplines that they have welcomed and developed the worldly phenomenology. Following the exposition of Embree, the present article will focus its attention on the fifth stage. In the first place it will demonstrate the existence of the phenomenon and secondly it will defend the epistemologic proposal of a rational reconstruction of the fifth stage in terms of scientific research program post-positivist that we propose to denominate sociophenomenologic.
