  La nueva universidad cubana y la introducción de las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones tienen una gran influencia dentro de los cambios que se producen en el ámbito educativo. Las consideraciones teóricas sobre el término artesanía popular tradicional local, constituye un aporte significativo para la Educación Infantil, y en particular en los departamentos de educación artística de las instituciones educativas cubanas. Es importante destacar que hoy se habla de la sociedad de la información y esta introducción de las tecnologías de la información en el proceso docente educativo, lo que constituye un potencial de extraordinaria importancia para lograr la integración del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje. Desde el punto de vista pedagógico esto posee ventajas y desventajas, las cuales son considerables en los contextos educativos actuales. La artesanía popular tradicional local se integra al complejo panorama visual contemporáneo al que tienen que enfrentarse los estudiantes, sin embargo, tienden a subvalorarla por considerarla una manifestación artística remota permeada de tradición. En su lugar, sobreestiman un tipo de producción artesanal contemporánea o neo artesanía, con diseño producido por profesionales con una formación académica. El objetivo del presente trabajo es desarrollar habilidades en los estudiantes de educación artística de la artesanía popular tradicional local, desde la inserción de las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones.

  The new Cuban university and the introduction of the technologies of the information and the communications have a great influence in the changes that it is produced in the educational environment.
