  • In this article the authors deal with the study of text macrostructure with the theoretical framework of classical Rhetoric and Text Linguistics, which can be integrated in a general Rhetoric. The compositional aspects of text can be studied with the aid of the categories provided by the rhetorical theory concerning the operation-component of dispositio, in a productive connection with the categories of macrostructural theories. The paragraph structure is studied as to the division of text macrostructure. The relationship between text compositional structure and text pragmatic structure is dealt with, the rhetorical operation component of actio being reactivated.
