Resumen de Establecimiento de una relación productiva doctorando/supervisor: expectativas, roles y relación

  Un ámbito en el que se están realizando cambios profundos con la implantación del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior es el Doctorado. Los programa de doctorado requieren superar, al igual que el resto de títulos universitarios oficiales, los procesos de verificación y acreditación. Además, de la realización de la tesis doctoral, el estudiante debe completar un portfolio de actividades de formación. La elaboración de la tesis doctoral es la consecuencia de haber desarrollado una producción científica de calidad. Este trabajo plantea las condiciones necesarias para establecer una relación productiva entre el doctorando y el supervisor durante el tiempo de desarrollo de la tesis, identificando quienes son los agentes que determinan la productividad y las situaciones que pueden afectarla.

  Opposed to Bachelor and Master Programs, not much attention has been paid to Doctorate programs so far, despite the relevant changes that have undergone with the establishement of the European Higher Education Area. Indeed, Doctorate programs need to go through verification and certification processes, as it is the case of BSc and MSc studies. They include not only the preparation of a doctoral thesis but also the candidate usually needs to complete a portfolio, encompassing different learning and training activities. The doctorate thesis is the ultimate consequence of fulfilling a valuable scientific production. This work discusses the necessary conditions to establish a productive relationship between the doctoral student and the supervisor during the corresponding research program, pointing out the agents who would eventually determine the productivity degree, and the situations that might affect their productivity.
