Resumen de Public speaking: An experience at the university of cadiz

The general objective of this work is the improvement of students' competences related to public speaking. This objective is devided into three specific objectives: improvement of the main strengths of each student in the public speaking, correction of the main weaknesses of the students in the public speaking, and finally, reduction of the stress caused by the public speaking of the students. Effective public speaking is a very important skill for the future career advancement of the students. The teaching innovation project has been carried out in the subject “Economics of the Public Sector” in the first year of the Bachelor degree in Management and Public Administration of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication of the University of Cádiz in the course 2019/2020. The project will consist of distributing material and explaining theoretically about how to make an effective public speaking. The results of the final survey show that the project has contributed to improve the symptoms related to student stress in public speaking.
