In the conditions of a global knowledge-based economy, higher education is a significant contributor to the economic development, the competitiveness and well-being. Today, almost all advanced countries in the world acknowledge the fact that providing high quality education is not only a way for society to respond to the current situation, but it is also a way to change this situation. Competition within the framework of the educational system provides university institutions with the opportunity to reorganize goals in the field of organization and management of the learning process, in particular description, analysis, comparative research, understanding of patterns and trends, as well as foreseeing creative characteristics and the dynamics of the university information environment.The main objective of the article is to analyze the way of construction and operation of the university image and to be proposed applicable theoretical model of innovative university information environment which is adapted to the specifics of the presented quality of training of university structures.The organization and management of the educational process specifies the research results of sociologists, psychologists, economists, anthropologists and philosophers in contemporary organizations for the purposes of managing the specific organizations with educational functions. A complex assessment of the quality of education is made on the basis of weighted indicators. One of the indicators in defining the offered education on a global scale is the established positive image of the educational institutions. The interaction and cooperation between the various elements of the university information environment shape the professional, social and personal qualities of the university graduates, so that they can fulfill their function completely, in real social practice, and respectively generate a positive image and trust in the institutions that educate them.The research methodology is based on normative strategic documents at international and national level, external and internal standards, strategies, concepts and ideas for increasing the effectiveness of training in the context of generating a positive image of the educational institutions, including the following approaches: critical analysis of problems in the chosen scientific and practical field of research for forming of valid conclusions and raising new ideas; research, search, and more.The analytical review of open sources reveals the various advantages and disadvantages of the information university environment. There is a clear gap between the demands of society and the capacity of the education system to meet them, which leads to the loss of leading positions of university institutions. The synergy between modern and proven positive teaching methods, built on the basis of synthesized years of experience, frames valuable ways and tools of implementing an innovative and high-quality university information environment that generates leadership in educational institutions.
