    El desarrollo de la función turística es posible en zonas turísticas atractivas y se pueden describir las condiciones para el desarrollo del turismo, entre otras, mediante la evaluación de los rasgos característicos de la región. En este estudio se desarrolló una evaluación turística para comprender el nivel de servicios e infraestructura cultural de bienestar en Puerto Hondo, Ecuador. El área de investigación fue elegida por su potencial turístico y su ubicación en una región con valores naturales y culturales excepcionales El estudio incluyó características que se dividieron en tipos de influencia: valores naturales y culturales y desarrollo turístico. La aplicabilidad se revisó mediante la encuesta a moradores del lugar, turistas y personas aledañas a la región y se encontró que el sistema de diagnóstico sobre servicios e infraestructura para el bienestar y la cultura rural proporciona la información necesaria para el establecimiento y toma de decisiones de la política de desarrollo regional teniendo en cuenta las características del área en el futuro.PALABRAS CLAVE: atractivos turísticos; puerto hondo; diagnóstico; turismo ecológico.

    TOURIST EVALUATION OF THE PUERTO HONDO PREMISES, ECUADORABSTRACTThe development of the tourist function is possible in attractive tourist areas and the conditions for the development of tourism can be described, among others, by evaluating the characteristic features of the region. In this study, a diagnostic evaluation was developed to understand the level of services and cultural infrastructure of well-being in Puerto Hondo Ecuador The research area was chosen for its tourist potential and its location in a region with exceptional natural and cultural values The study included characteristics that they were divided into types of influence: natural and cultural values and tourism development. The applicability was reviewed through the survey of residents of the place, tourists and people close to the region and it was found that the diagnostic system on services and infrastructure for well-being and rural culture provides the necessary information for the establishment and decision-making of the regional development policy, taking into account the characteristics of the area in the future.KEYWORDS: tourist attractions; deep port; diagnosis; ecological tourism.
