Resumen de Rutas botánicas: Una alternativa turística en Gran Canaria

La presente comunicación es una propuesta de rutas botánicas terrestres y marinas por la isla de Gran Canaria con las que se pretende potenciar el aprovechamiento de este recurso natural como atractivo turístico mediante la práctica del ecoturismo. Al mismo tiempo, se pretende fomentar el conocimiento y el respeto de la biodiversidad florística existente en esta Isla. Para seleccionar qué puntos de la Isla son los más idóneos en cuanto a calidad y cantidad de sus valores florísticos, se ha usado un Sistema de Información Geográfica (SIG) con el cual hemos realizado un estudio detallado de diferentes parámetros mediante el análisis espacial de los senderos insulares y las zonas de mayor concentración de flora terrestre y marina de la Isla.

The present communication is a proposal of terrestrial and marine botanical route around the island of Gran Canaria which is to promote the use of this natural resource as a tourist attraction by ecotourism. At the same time, it aims to promote knowledge and respect for the existing plant biodiversity on the island. To select which parts of the island are the most suitable in terms of quality and quantity of its floristic values, has used a Geographic Information System (GIS) with which we have made a detailed study of various parameters bythe spatial analysis of island trails and areas of greatest concentration of land and sea on the island flora.
