Resumen de O duplo condicionamento tensivo e retórico das estruturas elementares da significação

With reference to the model of the "generative process of meaning" (A. J. Greimas), this article tackles, in the first place, the possibility of reinterpreting its so-called "elementary structures" not only in terms of a "logical" inspiration, following the Aristotelian tradition, nor in terms of a "phonological" inspiration, supported by the works of the Prague Linguistic Circle, but in a way of radicalizing the Danish linguists' intuitions in a topologizing direction which (i) grants to the confronted terms the deformability that they lack in the previous interpretations, and (ii) giving epistemological primacy to the complex, leads to rethinking the values as positions in a flow, having "smaller" or "larger" intervals separating them. Such infra-categorial ciphers of "less" and "more" are taken, finally, as an invitation to bring together rhetoric and semiotics, since tropological rhetoric, which has always worked on the dimension of discourse and has always been interested in the intensifications of its effects, can shed light on this theoretical point.

Tendo por referência o modelo do "percurso gerativo do sentido" (A. J. Greimas), este artigo discute, em primeiro lugar, a possibilidade de reinterpretar suas chamadas "estruturas elementares" não apenas em termos de uma inspiração "lógica", na continuidade da tradição aristotélica, nem tampouco de uma inspiração "fonológica", apoiada nos trabalhos do Círculo linguístico de Praga, mas, radicalizando as intuições dos linguistas dinamarqueses, em uma direção topologizante, que (i) concede aos termos confrontados a deformabilidade que lhes falta nas interpretações anteriores, e (ii) dando a primazia epistemológica ao complexo, leva a repensar os valores como posições em um fluxo, havendo "menores" ou "maiores" intervalos a separá-los. Tais cifras infracategoriais de "menos" e "mais" são lidas, enfim, como um convite à retorização da semiótica, pois a retórica tropológica, que sempre trabalhou sobre a dimensão do discurso e sempre se interessou pelas intensificações de seus efeitos, pode trazer ricos esclarecimentos a esse ponto teórico.
