The global competitive labor market and industrialsectorial trends have demanded new requirements andrestructuring in the prevailing engineering curriculum of theEuropean Higher Education Area (EHEA) in terms of linking theeducational contents with the industrial real-world, and, on theother hand, promoting cooperation between universities andenterprises. In response to these needs, the Performance-Centered Adaptive Curriculum for Employment Needs (PAC)project was launched in order to develop business adaptive andemployment and labor market oriented master degree programsfor computer, electronics, and fiber-optics engineering. Theproject aims to input business and employment into curriculumdevelopment. Likewise, it considers concrete and specific newstandards of industry at national and regional level, not only interms of formal qualifications but also in terms of detailed newskills requirements and competences. Thus, it will be able tofoster employment by preparing qualified professional profiles ina particular occupation. The project provides virtual mobility ofstudents and teachers by developing open educational resourceson-line within the framework DIPSEIL (Distributed Internet-Based Performance Support Environment for IndividualizedLearning) which is released in five languages to organizedifferent courses from available modules and tasks forperformance according to the needs of a specific job place. Theseeducational resources comprise innovative ICT-based learningcontent, services, pedagogies and practice for lifelong learningand vocational training. The PAC project is based on apartnership between European universities and enterprises and itsupports progress towards European-wide certification ofqualifications. In this session, the project is presented outliningthe main objectives and the contributions carried out by eachpartner.
