La Música como herramienta de Educación Social: Percepciones del profesorado español en formación

    INTRODUCCIÓN. Las necesidades educativas del alumnado actual desembocan en la formación de un profesorado que le pueda aproximar a su realidad cultural, lo que implica que la música y sus usos se conviertan en una importante herramienta (principal y/o auxiliar) en el aula de Educación Primaria. En unas comunidades más que en otras, la Música es comprendida como momento de encuentro social, como actividad de difusión cultural que favorece la comunicación social. METODOLOGÍA. Se pretende conocer el grado de importancia que otorgan a actividades culturales y artísticas, entre las que la Música ocupa un lugar destacado, dada las características históricas culturales de la Comunidad Valenciana. RESULTADOS Y CONCLUSIONES. El alumnado de la Facultad de Magisterio de la Universidad de Valencia es plenamente consciente de la importancia de la Música como herramienta educativa socializadora; ahora bien, su mayor o menor uso dependerá de la formación que se imparta en la universidad.

    INTRODUCTION. The educational needs of the current student body lead to the formation of a teacher who can bring their cultural reality which means that music and its uses become an important tool (main and/or auxiliary) in the primary school classroom. In some communities thtat in others, the music is understood as a social meeting point, as cultural promotion activity that promotes social communication. METHODOLOGY. It aims to respond to the degree of importance given to cultural and artistic activities, including the music ranks high, given the historical cultural characteristics of the Valencian Community. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS. The students of the Faculty of Education at the University of Valencia is fully aware of the importance of music education as a socializing tool; however, the greater or lesser use of it in the classroom depends on the training being conducted at university.
