Traumatismos en dentición temporal. Luxación intrusiva

    Es imposible hablar de odontología pediátrica sin evocar los traumatismos en dentición temporal. Son unos accidentes frecuentes que necesitan, por parte del odontoestomatólogo, seguridad en el diagnóstico y precisión en el tratamiento. Un tipo de lesión frecuente en dentición temporal es la luxación intrusiva, que consiste en el desplazamiento del diente hacia la profundidad del hueso alveolar.

    El presente artículo pretende ofrecer una revisión de Jos factores epidemiológicos de los traumatismos en los dientes temporales, haciendo también una revisión de la literatura acerca del diagnóstico, tratamiento y secuelas de la luxación intrusiva en dentición temporal.

    Presentamos dos casos clínicos llamativos de luxaciones intrusivas. En el primer caso, se produjo un hundimiento completo en el alveolo de Jos cuatro incisivos temporales superiores que, posteriormente, reerupcionaron. El segundo caso es poco frecuente ya que se produjo Ja intrusión severa de los incisivos superiores central y lateral; posteriormente erupcionó el incisivo central y se produjo Ja anquilosis del incisivo lateral.

    lt is impossible to speak about pediatric odontology without evoking the traumat1sms 1n primary teething. They are frequent accidents which from the odontostomatologists point oí view, need an absolutely sure diagnosis and precision in the treatment. One frequent type oí lesion is intrusive luxation which consists oí a displacement oí the tooth towards the lower extremes o! the alveolar bone.

    This article intends to offer a review o! the epidemiological factors o! the traumatisms in the primary teeth and al the same time a review o! the literature oí the diagnosis, treatment and the consequences o! intrusive luxation in primary teething.

    We present two interesting clinical cases o! intrusive luxation. in the first case, there was a complete sinking in the alveolo oí the four upper 1ncisives o! the primary teeth that, later reappeared. The second case is not very frequent since the se ve re intrusion o! the central and lateral upper incisives was produced; ata la ter date, the central incisive appeared agam and the anchylosis oí the lateral incisive was produced.
